Getting Out of Dodge, not that I don’t love Vail in the Summer

Recently, I decided to get out of the studio and the valley for a few days.  I took a model and a friend to explore the small town of Salida, Colorado where we shot in back alleys and coffee shops, and what an interesting place it was! The town is a mecca/confluence for not only rafters and bikers, but also artists of all types. A prominent creative vibe thrives throughout the entire downtown area where the streets are lined with  art galleries, funky antique stores, and fabulous restaurants! If you go there be sure to grab a delicious coffee at The Brown Dog Coffee Co., and Cafe Dawn.  Dinner at the Laughing Lady is also exquisite!
